Ja taas eilen osuttiin samalle reitille Joosehan kanssa. Millä todennäköisyydellä onnistuu Turussa kolme nojakistia just samalle reitille samaan aikaan .

Tänään 30.5 n. klo 11.15 joku vanhempi herrasmies ajeli trikellä Hollolassa Ala-okeroistentiellä kohti Pulla poikien risteystä.

I am the guy on the last page picture doing the brevet on the Front Wheel Drive recumbent. I live in Espoo for few month and I have moved with all my toys : a velomobile Waw (I droved it from west of France last February) , a classical touring recumbent Azub Mini, a brompton and this FWD...

The bike is home made, the bottom bracket moves with the front wheel like for Cruzbike... but the geometry is really different.

I will try to follow the forum but because my Finnish knowledge is still a bit poor it won't be easy! However it will be a pleasure to meet other recumbent enthusiast in Helsinki area or during a Brevet... a 600km is scheduled for the 10th of June.

You have a nice fleet of bikes.

There is cople guys going to Helsinki velodrome in friday, 2.6 at 0900.
They are doing power measurements, but I'm sure that they welcome other drivers too.

Also You can't miss annual contest in Nokia, 5-6.8

Welcome that is a beautiful and well made looking bike. I need to check If my moving bottom bracket bike has a low enough bracket for the pedal to touch the ground. My bike has a kick stand that does not keep the bike upright unless the front wheel is turned to the right by the body of the bike. Using the pedal to help may work. You have excellent bikes but why did you not use the velomobile for the Brevet?

I try to go to the velodrome today to see If public driving times are limited avain this year. On previous years most of the time the velodrome is reserved for cycling clubs although there rarely are cyclists there. That does not mean that the staff does not allow you to cycle there Another issue is the center area being used to practice American football at times so one needs to look out for their practice schedule. There are free times for center field use too and the staff has never allowed me onto the velodrome during football practice. I have not seen anyone on the center field outside of football practice times.

There was no list of free practice times and no personnel to ask from so Friday at 9am seems to be on for recumbent rider meet at Helsinki velodrome.

I will try to come in Nokia... and maybe at the Velodrome on Friday but not sure yet to be free!

I did some brevet with the velomobile and specialy one in Lahti on the 1st of april : average temperature 3° (inside ) with snow and rain all day. The others looked at me with some envy! But the FWD is more convenient to ride with other persons, allmost the same speed than a race bike (even up hill) and the head outside allow chat.

Not sure yet what bike I will use for the 600km...

Also, there is 24h race in Alastaro race track in 24-25.6.
It's called Ratareisi ( track thigh )

There are about 10 recumbents participating.
