Hahaa, sain vastauksen.
"Hi Timo,
The version from the video was the very first we built in steel and since then we have made another one in carbon with a more reclined sitting position, so more ergonomic.
This steel frame and gearhub assembly has been tested for more than 1000 km last summer in the French Alps and in Norway
As of today, we have only made one carbon low racer prototype which was great to ride and light.
This design is mainly fit for racing with a limit to 90 kg. It works very well and is fast
We are these days also developing a new gearhub which will fit into the front wheel ( see http://www.kervelo.com ). This design will be even lighter.
Regarding your weight, we could design and build a stronger frame but it has to be tested further. As all frames we have made, professional and experienced builders or welders have manufactured our bikes. The same will apply for the next, eventually yours too.
Best regards
Marc"
Kysymykseni siis olivat:
- Do you have long time experience about the design of the low racer, in Youtube videos it does not look very ergonomic position for a higher power output, in videos like this one:
https://youtu.be/Fn201iTXnFo?t=26s
it seems like the rider is in too much in sitting position and is pedaling in between his arms knees over-flexed.
How about the robustness of the frame? I weight 115 kg and I'm 193 cm tall. If I load the bike with camping gear (>25 kg) can it take the load in the long run? And how about the pothole infested gravel roads - will it bend and break?
How wide tyres the low racer can take? Can i use 28 x 2.0 tire and will the mudguards still fit? Are rims tubeless compliant?
